My god, a lot has happened in the rodent world since my last update.

 I have a few new additions: Nancy Vicious the rat, and the mice Oedipus Rex, Bella, Pandora, and Johnny. Pictures coming soon.

Billy passed away Thursday afternoon. I don’t have much of a eulogy for him, other than he was an amazing little mouse and I will miss him so much.

I love you little guy. Play hard at the Rainbow Bridge.

Just to let you all know what’s going on with Billy–I took him to the vet a couple days after the incident, who proclaimed he was healing well and also dewormed him while we were there (poor guy was really put through the ring). Now he is still his same fabulous self, though I will be keeping him in the terrarium as long as I have mice and rats in the same room. Luckily, his impediment hardly affects his daily routine. I certainly hope others can learn from my mistake rather than unwittingly put their pet in a potentially dangerous situation.

As evidenced by the following photos, my rats love hammocks–eating them, playing on them, sleeping, it’s all good. I believe the majority of rats feel the same way.

As you know, Billy and I have had a rough haul. He used to be quite aggressive (he has bitten every one of my fingers, drawing blood, at some point), and it is only in these past three months that his true personality has come out.
